We have listed in our guidebook a few things you might like to know while staying with us.
We will leave you in peace to enjoy the property, but we have a beautiful team who are here to help, so if something is not perfect, or if we can be of assistance in any way at all, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Should you have any issues with connection, please do let us know. It is rare for us to have a problem with the wifi, but it can happen and we won’t know unless you tell us, so if it drops out, leave us a message and we’ll reset it straight away for you.
· Keys – You will find 1 set of keys when checking in. We have a 2nd set available for each apartment, located in the lockbox near the front door. Let us know if you would like to use the 2nd set and we will send through the code. Please leave the keys on the table inside when checking out.
· Supplies – Westwood Lodge has a basic pantry, Oil. Salt. Pepper. Sugar sachets. Small milk. The bathroom is stocked with the beautiful ASPAR range, Hand Wash. Body wash. Shampoo & Conditioner.
· Tea – You will find a teapot, loose leaf organic black tea and another surprise tea of the month for you to try. There is nothing nicer than slowing down and pouring a perfect cup of tea to enjoy after a day exploring.
· Coffee – We supply freshly ground coffee from our local roasters here in bright, Sixpence Coffee. They have a shop in Wills St, which I can highly recommend if you want to go for a walk and get the pro’s to make it for you.
· Laundry Room – We have a shared laundry room with washing machine, dryer, laundry powder and pegs for our guests convenience.
You will find it located out your back door, next to the clothesline.
There is a sign on the door “Laundry Room”, so you can’t miss it.
Dawn – open the back door and turn right.
Dusk – open the back door and turn left.
Wildflower – open the sliding door into your courtyard and then head out the gate to your left and walk towards the clothesline.
· Bike Storage – We know how much you love your bikes and how valuable they can be, but we kindly ask that you do not store your bikes or do any maintenance on them inside the Lodge. Unfortunately they so easily mark the walls and stain the carpets. Luckily for us, Bright is such a safe town and we provide you with a secure, lockable storage shed at the front of the property, adjoining the first carpark. You will find a key on your keyring.
· Blankets and Pillows – You will find some extra blankets and pillows in the wardrobe. Your comfort is so important to us, please let us know if you need anything more.
· Air Conditioning and Heating – The air conditioning units have a remote control which is located on the wall. Please allow a period of time (up to 5 minutes) for the units to achieve the desired temperature.
· Kitchen – Cooking and Washing up. If you intend cooking using strong smells (ie. Curries, fish etc) please use the free BBQ with side gas burner located in the undercover pergola. As our property is self catering your tariff is based on the kitchen being left clean upon departure. This includes all tableware and cooking items properly washed, dried and put away. If additional cleaning or odour removal is required following your departure, a minimum charge of $100 will apply.
· Longer stays – Fresh towels are provided after 3 days of your stay, should you wish. You will find a fresh linen basket in your wardrobe. Just pop the used towels in the blue stripe bag provided in the pack and leave them in the guest laundry. We’ll take care of them from here.
· Extra Guests – Extra guests can be accommodated by arrangement. Please let us know if the number of guests you booked for has changed.
· Rubbish – You will find large bins for rubbish disposal at the front of the property adjoining carpark 1 and the bike storage shed. General waste goes into the bin with the red lid. Please help us do our bit for the environment by separating any recyclables (glass, paper, plastic bottles etc) into the bin with the yellow lid.
· BBQ – We have a large gas BBQ in the pergola by the creek for our wonderful guests. Please clean the BBQ after each use for the convenience of others. A spare gas bottle is located under the BBQ should it run out. Please let us know if you swap it over so we can replace it.
· Picnic Relaxing Area – Enjoy the wooden outdoor setting on the creek for your relaxation.
· Noise – Westwood Lodge is a lovely, peaceful retreat. We ask that you respect other guest’s by limiting noise after 9pm and before 8am.
· Broken Items – Broken items are so understandable. Life happens. Just leave whatever it may be out so we can replace it. Please never stress about a broken glass at Westwood Lodge.
· Maintenance – We try hard to keep everything maintained and in perfect working order, but we are human, sometimes we miss things. If anything breaks, is empty, needs replacing, or if you have a note about any issues, repairs, or the like, please let us know. It would help us so much.
· Smoking – There is no smoking at Westwood Lodge, in or around the property. This includes under the verandahs and patios and inside the pergola. Please take any butts with you and take care to look after our little slice of paradise.
· Emergency – Please call 000 in case of emergency. You will find a fire blanket in the kitchen cupboard under the sink. A fire extinguisher is located at the end of the verandah outside Dusk Lodge and in the courtyard in Wildflower.
· Checking Out – Check out time is 10 am. The general rule is to leave it how you found it. The key can be left on the table, with the front door unlocked. Our housekeeping team won’t be far away.
I love this little lodge by the creek so much and it’s such a pleasure to share it with you. I really appreciate any feedback you may have so I can be sure to make it even better for everyone who stays.
